Aerospace & Operational Physiology (AOP)

Our clinic familiarizes the flyer or jumper with the physiological stresses and human performance factors of modern military aviation and prepares them to successfully meet these challenges. Our goal is to enhance flight safety by reducing human performance errors. We provide Hypoxia Familiarization Training via the Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device. The HFT/ROBD is the most advanced, effects-based hypoxia training available and is an alternative to the altitude chamber. This training satisfies AFI 11-403 requirements for aircrew physiology training and offers the same five year currency for: Tanker, Transport, and Bomber, aircrew Refresher; High Altitude Parachutist Initial and Refresher.
